October 25, 2017, Edmonton, Alberta: The Canadian Agricultural Safety Association (CASA) welcomes two new board members for 2017–2018.

Dan Trottier (President of Tatonga Inc.) and Karl Klotzbach (Product Safety and Homologations Engineer, CNH Industrial America) were elected to join CASA’s Board of Directors at CASA’s 23rd annual farm safety conference, and AGM held in Edmonton, Alberta October 3 to 5, 2017.

Wendy Bennett (Executive Director of AgSafe) was reelected to the board and reassumes her position as chair.

“Serving on the board, and in particular, as chair, gives me the opportunity to not only provide perspective from British Columbian farm safety community but also influence the direction of CASA,” says Bennett. “The next few years are going to be ones of growth, and I am thrilled to be a part of that process.”

Dave Brand (Owner of Apex Land & Livestock) assumes the role of Vice-Chair and Jeff Shaw (Prevention Consultant, SAFE Work Manitoba) assumes the role of secretary. Rounding out the executive, Dean Anderson (Strategic Advisor, Agriculture at Workplace Safety & Prevention Services) continues as Treasurer.
