Winnipeg, MB, May 6, 2026 – The Canadian Agricultural Safety Association (CASA) is proud to announce the release its 2026-2029 Strategic Plan, a forward-looking framework that builds on the organization’s established foundation to promote health and safety in agriculture.
The new three-year plan reflects CASA’s belief that safe and sustainable agriculture must embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion. Through education, partnerships, and resources, the plan embodies CASA’s newly-defined mission to promote “a culture of agricultural safety that protects people through knowledge sharing, support, and meaningful connections.”
“This plan is grounded in CASA’s dedication to protecting the people at the heart of agriculture through practical, accessible solutions and valuable partnerships that help make a positive difference in agricultural health and safety,” says Sandra Miller, CASA’s Executive Director. “At CASA, we believe safety must be a priority in agriculture and that creating an environment where everyone feels valued and respected is pivotal to advancing health and safety in agriculture.”
The 2026-2029 Strategic Plan is built on five focus areas:
1. Reach and influence
2. Accessible, relevant education and resources
3. Beneficial partnerships
4. Active membership
5. Organizational health
CASA’s new strategic plan was developed through an inclusive, collaborative process. Stakeholder input from across the country ensured that diverse voices were heard in shaping CASA’s future direction. Stakeholder feedback is essential for keeping CASA’s initiatives aligned with the priorities of its membership and for identifying new opportunities for health and safety programming.
“This plan captures CASA’s perspective that real progress happens when we work together,” says Peter Sykanda, CASA’s Board Chair. “By collaborating with our partners and promoting an inclusive safety culture that respects and values differences, CASA is better positioned to achieve our vision of a Canada where no one is harmed in agriculture.”
